Community Care
An important part of being a responsible corporate citizen is giving back to the community. MELCO continuously supports local philanthropy through different networks for the betterment of the community. Donations were contributed to charitable organizations (i.e. Tong-Sin-Tong, Holy House of Mercy, Caritas Macau, Labor Union, Neighborhood Association, etc.) for supporting their sustained development on a diversity of community services. MELCO participates in the Walk-for-Million with thousands employees’ support every year.
Outside Macau, Melco Resorts & Entertainment has also been active in various cultural, educational and community events in Japan in recent years. A CSR project called “AURA” (Alternative Urbanism Reorganized by Arts) was inaugurated in April 2014. “AURA” is the collaboration project between Tokyo University of the Arts and the Company for the perpetuation and evolution of Japanese traditional cultures. The project consists of research on a new urban development model, as well as a series of activities to perpetuate Japanese traditional culture, aiming at creating new arts and cultures for the future generations.
MELCO also has never forgotten the plight of those brought by the disasters (i.e. Typhoon, earthquake, tsunami, etc.) and relief / rescues is always our priority concern. Previously we financially donated to organization to support reconstruction in Mainland China and Philippines after natural disasters .
MELCO will strive continuously to contribute to a better Macau through the ongoing support of worthy charitable causes.
