Whole Person Development

Transcending technical skills on the job, whole-person development embraces the concept of enhancing personal, professional and life-long learning. Implementation of these initiatives is largely driven from our training programs and in-house Learning Academy; but equally important are the career enabling cross-functional opportunities enhancing scope and perspective. Whole-person development occurs not only in classrooms, but also through life experiences and exposures. MELCO endeavors to inject quality in all aspects of our events to impact our colleagues – as part of exposure. Whole person development is also concerned with enriching skills outside of the workplace. Under the Employee Concierge & Events team, employees may partake in activities and programs. Families are an extended MELCO family and form a component of our whole-person development. Our Whole Person Development programs also include volunteerism, with past activities including:

Formed interest groups among employees to identify charitable causes they would like to volunteer for

Every year, our employees donate mooncakes of their own and deliver to the community during mid-autumn festival. Our 200 volunteers go into the community to personally deliver. To-date, over 9,000 mooncakes were donated.

Volunteer –organized Charity Bike Ride which is planned, organized and executed by the volunteers, raising money for charity.

MELCO Volunteers’ have served 9,552 beneficiaries.
